Overview

This website, sssolar.my, is operated by Swee Seng Electrical Engineering Sdn Bhd, trading as SS SOLAR. Throughout the Site, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to SS SOLAR.

These Terms of Service govern your use of our website and related online services. Purchases, installations and after-sales services are also subject to the quotation, sales agreement, warranty documents and other terms expressly agreed with you.

By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue using the Site.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

Section 1 — Use of the website

You must use the Site lawfully and must not interfere with its security or operation.

You must not upload malicious code, impersonate another person, submit fraudulent enquiries or attempt to access information without authorisation.

If you place an order or enter into an agreement on behalf of another person or organisation, you confirm that you have authority to do so.

Section 2 — Website information

We take reasonable care when presenting product descriptions, specifications, prices and other information on the Site.

Website content provides general information. Final system suitability, equipment selection and installation requirements depend on the relevant site assessment and agreed project specifications.

Product images and diagrams are illustrative unless expressly identified as part of the agreed specification.

Section 3 — Quotations, prices and promotions

Unless expressly stated otherwise, website prices are indicative and do not constitute a binding quotation.

Your quotation will specify the applicable products, scope of work, price, payment schedule, validity period and relevant conditions.

Promotions are subject to their stated eligibility requirements, availability and validity periods. Whether promotions may be combined will be stated in the relevant offer.

Changes to website prices do not automatically change an existing accepted quotation or contract.

Any change to an agreed project scope or price must be communicated and agreed before the affected work proceeds.

Section 4 — Orders and acceptance

Submitting an enquiry, requesting a quotation or receiving an automated acknowledgement does not, by itself, confirm that we have accepted an order.

Order acceptance and the formation of a binding project agreement are governed by the acceptance requirements stated in the relevant quotation or sales agreement.

We may decline a proposed order for legitimate reasons, including service area limitations, technical unsuitability, unavailable equipment or suspected fraud.

If we cannot fulfil an accepted order, we will notify you and address any payment received in accordance with the agreement and applicable law.

Section 5 — Customer information and authorisation

You agree to provide accurate and complete information reasonably needed for your project, including contact details, installation address, electricity bills and relevant application documents.

You must inform us of material changes that may affect the quotation, installation or application process.

You are responsible for obtaining permission from the property owner or other relevant parties where required. Our responsibilities for permits and applications will be set out in the agreed project scope.

Section 6 — Site assessment and installation

Installation is subject to technical suitability, safe access, relevant approvals and the agreed scope of work.

Site conditions may identify additional requirements, such as roof repairs, electrical upgrades, structural assessments or access arrangements. We will explain any proposed additional work and charges for your agreement before proceeding.

You agree to provide reasonable access to the premises at agreed times and disclose known hazards relevant to the work.

We may pause work where conditions are unsafe or required approvals are outstanding. We will communicate the reason and discuss the next steps.

Section 7 — Installation timelines and approvals

Installation dates and completion periods will be stated in the relevant project documents or confirmed communications.

Timelines may be affected by weather, site readiness, equipment availability, utility scheduling or approval processes. We will inform you of material delays and discuss revised arrangements.

Applications for grid connection, export arrangements, rebates, incentives or financing remain subject to the relevant third party’s requirements and decisions.

We do not guarantee approval unless an express written commitment states otherwise.

Section 8 — Energy generation and savings estimates

Solar generation, electricity savings and payback estimates are based on stated assumptions and available information.

Actual results may vary due to weather, shading, roof orientation, equipment condition, electricity consumption patterns, tariffs, system settings and other relevant factors.

Battery backup capability depends on system design, battery capacity, charge level, connected loads and operating conditions. Backup coverage must be confirmed in the agreed specification.

Any express performance guarantee will be set out separately in writing. These provisions do not limit applicable statutory guarantees or remedies.

Section 9 — Payments

Payment amounts, due dates and project milestones are governed by your accepted quotation or sales agreement.

Payments must be made through our officially designated payment channels. Please contact us through a verified company contact if you receive an unexpected request to change payment details.

Any payment-related suspension of work will be handled according to the agreement and applicable law, with appropriate notice.

Section 10 — Cancellations, returns and refunds

Cancellation, return and refund requests will be assessed according to the agreed terms, the stage of the project and applicable law.

For customer-requested cancellations, any deduction for completed work, submitted applications, ordered equipment or other committed costs must have a lawful contractual basis and be explained to you.

Nothing in this section limits rights relating to defective products, deficient services or other remedies available under applicable law.

Section 11 — Warranties and after-sales services

Manufacturer warranties, installation workmanship warranties and any purchased service plans are governed by the documents supplied for your project.

Warranty periods, coverage, exclusions and claim procedures may differ between products and service plans. Please refer to your quotation, warranty certificates and service documents.

Where we assist with a manufacturer warranty claim, the manufacturer may require inspection, diagnostic information or supporting documents.

Any warranty exclusion will be applied according to its terms and applicable law. Manufacturer warranties do not replace rights you may have against us as the supplier or installer.

Section 12 — Third-party platforms and links

The Site or our services may provide access to third-party websites, financing services, payment providers or equipment monitoring platforms.

Those providers operate under their own terms and privacy policies. Please review them before using their services.

Their involvement does not remove obligations we owe you under our agreement or applicable law.

Section 13 — Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, website content, branding, graphics and materials are owned by SS SOLAR or used with permission.

You may view and download content for personal reference or to consider our products and services.

You must not reproduce, sell, republish or commercially exploit protected content without permission, except as permitted by law.

Section 14 — Reviews and submissions

You are responsible for ensuring that reviews, comments and other content you submit are lawful and do not infringe another person’s rights.

When you submit a review for publication, you permit us to display it for that purpose. We will seek appropriate permission before using private correspondence, identifiable customer photographs or testimonials for separate promotional purposes.

We may remove unlawful, fraudulent, abusive or infringing content.

Section 15 — Personal information

Our collection and use of personal information are described in our Privacy Policy, available at sssolar.my/privacy.

Section 16 — Errors and corrections

We may correct typographical errors, inaccurate descriptions or outdated information on the Site.

If an error materially affects your proposed or accepted order, we will contact you to explain the correction and discuss the available options.

A website correction does not, by itself, authorise us to change an agreed contract or remove your legal rights.

Section 17 — Website availability and liability

We take reasonable steps to maintain the Site but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, technical faults or circumstances outside our reasonable control may affect availability.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses caused solely by temporary website unavailability or third-party websites outside our control.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, our negligence causing death or personal injury, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Our obligations concerning supplied products and installation services remain subject to the project agreement and applicable law.

Section 18 — Events outside reasonable control

If an event outside a party’s reasonable control prevents or delays performance, the affected party must notify the other party and take reasonable steps to reduce its effects.

The parties will discuss revised arrangements. Any suspension, cancellation or refund will be handled according to the project agreement and applicable law.

Section 19 — Suspension and termination

We may restrict website access where reasonably necessary to address misuse, fraud, security threats or unlawful activity.

Ending website access does not automatically cancel an existing installation agreement or remove either party’s outstanding obligations.

Termination of a project agreement is governed by that agreement and applicable law.

Section 20 — Applicable documents

These Terms govern website use. An accepted quotation, sales agreement, approved variation or warranty document governs the specific matters it addresses.

Where these website Terms conflict with expressly agreed project terms, the agreed project terms take precedence to the extent permitted by law.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for misrepresentation or removes non-excludable consumer rights.

Section 21 — Severability

If a provision is found unlawful or unenforceable, it will be severed to the extent necessary. The remaining provisions will continue to apply where legally possible.

Section 22 — Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia.

Please contact us first so that we can investigate and attempt to resolve any concern.

Nothing in these Terms prevents you from seeking assistance from a competent court, tribunal, regulator or other dispute resolution body available under applicable law.

Section 23 — Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms by publishing a revised version on the Site with an updated revision date.

Changes apply prospectively and do not retrospectively alter an existing accepted project agreement without the necessary agreement or legal basis.
